Ekamat has been implementing business software for more than 40 years aimed to improve the performance of enterprises, being specialists in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics ERP & CRM solutions leaders for SMEs. They customize projects and offer sectoral solutions adapted to the casuistry of companies. They have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Mallorca and Zaragoza.
Ekamat had an outdated analog telephone platform that limited the proper functioning of company communications: slow call transfer, difficulty in managing and enabling the answering machine, waiting calls with background noise.
Given this situation, Ekamat decided to modernize its telephone system, making a leap towards IP telephony and unified communications. The aim: To innovate, speed up communications and reduce the number of physical terminals.

To carry out the implementation, Ekamat contacted Instel, a telecommunications company with a long track record in the implementation of IP telephony projects.
Once the needs of Ekamat were met, Avaya solutions were presented, a leading manufacturer of unified communications solutions for the B2B sector.The renewal of the telephony system was implemented at the Ekamat headquarters: Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia.
Before of the implementation of the solution, Instel adapted the cabling of the Ekamat Barcelona offices, including new wiring points, the renewal of patch cords, sanitation of distribution cabinets and certification of connections with the goal of leaving the network prepared for the implementation of IP voice solution.
Once the cabling was implemented, the AVAYA IP Office 500 v2 unified communication solution was implemented, the collaboration solution that allows integrating telephony, messaging, conference, contact center, video and unified communications in a single platform regardless of the user’s location and of the device used.
The central module of AVAYA IP Office 500 v2 was installed in the offices of Barcelona and in the rest of the offices it was only necessary to install the licenses in the PCs of the employees. In this way, a unique and centralized system has been obtained.
