INSTEL and HPE Networking bring IT leaders together at Casa Batlló to explore how native AI and multi-agent ecosystems are transforming the operation of digital infrastructures.
Last Tuesday, October 6, INSTEL hosted an exclusive technology event at Casa Batlló together with HPE Networking.
The event provided an opportunity to explore the evolution of networking towards a self-driving network model, capable of detecting issues, recommending actions, and moving towards increasingly automated operations.

HPE’s Acquisition of Juniper: A New Landscape for Networking
One of the key points of the session was an analysis of the new landscape created by HPE Networking’s acquisition of Juniper Networks and the opportunities arising from the integration of both technologies.
The presentation focused on the convergence of capabilities and on a model based on shared microservices, AI, and automation, with the aim of accelerating the transition towards more intelligent networks.
The Path Towards Self-Managing Networks
Compared with traditional monitoring based on device status, the approach presented places the actual user and application experience at the center.
One of the most notable examples was the Large Experience Model (LEM), integrated into HPE Aruba Central, which can analyze the experience of applications such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom and correlate it with different infrastructure variables.
This approach enables IT teams to move beyond simply knowing that a problem exists to understanding what is affecting the user experience and taking faster, more precise action.

Casa Batlló: A Real-World Success Story
The highlight of the event was a presentation by Miquel Palma, Head of IT Systems & Infrastructure at Casa Batlló, who shared details of the network infrastructure transformation project developed in collaboration with INSTEL and HPE.
Palma explained how Casa Batlló has evolved towards a high-capacity, highly available infrastructure, with a Zero Trust-based security model centrally managed through Aruba Central.
This architecture gives the IT team greater visibility and control over the network while simplifying its management in an increasingly demanding technology environment.

A Space for Sharing
At INSTEL, we would like to thank HPE Networking and, especially, Miquel Palma, for their participation and for the opportunity to share knowledge, experiences, and insights into the future of networking.
We remain committed to hosting this type of event, which allows us to bring together industry professionals, gain first-hand insight into the challenges faced by businesses, and foster conversations that help drive the technological evolution of organizations forward together.
