HPE joins the Open Secure AI Alliance to advance safer AI
Artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving toward systems capable not only of generating content, but also of reasoning, making decisions, using tools, and interacting with enterprise environments. In this context, HPE has joined the Open Secure AI Alliance as a founding member, an initiative launched alongside NVIDIA and supported by a broad ecosystem of technology, cybersecurity, and enterprise software companies, as well as open-source communities.

The goal of the alliance is to develop and share open technologies, tools, and techniques that help improve the security of artificial intelligence systems and the agents that interact with them.
A New Dimension for AI Security
HPE points out that modern artificial intelligence systems are not made up of models alone. They also incorporate agent frameworks, control mechanisms, governance tools, and other components that enable these systems to reason, act, and interact with enterprise environments.
In response to this evolution, the company believes that openness and collaboration can foster greater transparency, independent evaluation, and innovation in security.
HPE Applies Open Models to Software Security
As part of its commitment to these technologies, HPE explains that it is already using open AI models and agent tools to strengthen its software security practices.
These capabilities enable the analysis of source code and binaries to identify potential vulnerabilities, prioritize remediation, and improve software quality.
HPE also highlights its contribution to open-source projects such as SPIFFE/SPIRE, which are designed to provide identity mechanisms based on Zero Trust principles. These technologies can be used to cryptographically verify the identity of agents and services and ensure that only authorized workloads can communicate and access enterprise resources.
Integrated Security in Development
Another area where HPE is applying these capabilities is throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
The company is integrating AI-based cybersecurity analysis to provide assistance across different stages of development, from code creation through testing, validation, and vulnerability remediation.
