During HPE Discover 2026, HPE presented a new evolution of its Self-Driving Networks strategy, incorporating advanced artificial intelligence capabilities to simplify the management of increasingly distributed infrastructures. Agentic AI: The engine of autonomous operations
The core of this announcement is the introduction of Agentic AI (Agentic AIOps). Unlike traditional automation based on static rules, this approach uses intelligent agents capable of analyzing information, identifying patterns, and making autonomous decisions to simplify operations and enable an IT environment that can scale without the need for constant human intervention.

The AI assistant incorporates new diagnostic and self-healing capabilities, enabling it to automatically detect and resolve certain issues, such as problems with wired ports.
Unified management of wired and wireless networks
The HPE Mist platform now supports HPE Networking CX access switches, offering automated provisioning (zero-touch), AI-driven visibility, and service-level indicators from a single platform.
Predictive maintenance through AI and machine learning
By using AI/ML models, the system can now predict failures in optical components and systems with high confidence before they occur, preventing network outages and increasing application resilience.
Optimizing the Data Center for "AI Factories"
For organizations deploying generative AI models, the network is often the main bottleneck. HPE has responded by integrating HPE Juniper Networking QFX switches into its AI data center solutions.
These innovations allow GPUs to spend more time processing data and less time waiting on the network, eliminating critical latency issues and reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) of AI infrastructure. In addition, specific solutions optimized for large-scale inference architectures have been introduced, including support for AMD Helios platforms.
Zero Trust Security and Unified SASE
HPE’s autonomous networking strategy does not overlook protection. A new unified SASE platform has been introduced, converging SD-WAN operations and cloud security into a single AI-native console.
This approach facilitates the adoption of Zero Trust models, reducing the exposure of critical resources to potential attackers and ensuring that only authorized users and devices have access. By integrating security and networking into a common operational workflow, organizations can detect breaches and resolve incidents much more efficiently through AI copilots.
