HPE brings Marvis Actions’ self-driving capabilities to Aruba Central
HPE Aruba Networking has announced the addition of new self-driving capabilities from Marvis Actions to Aruba Central, enabling a move toward more automated network management, with capabilities to identify issues and apply remediation actions.
The new capabilities mark another step in the evolution of Aruba Central toward more automated network management, in which artificial intelligence not only provides insights into the state of the infrastructure, but can also participate in identifying and resolving certain issues.
Marvis Actions: From Insights to Action
Marvis Actions introduces capabilities in Aruba Central designed to automate the response to certain network issues.
The self-driving concept aims to reduce manual intervention in operational tasks by using available data and telemetry to detect situations that require attention and apply remediation actions.
This enables a shift from a model based primarily on monitoring and manual troubleshooting to one in which the platform can identify, analyze, and act on certain issues automatically.
More visibility for smarter operations
The arrival of Marvis Actions is accompanied by other Aruba Central enhancements aimed at providing more operational information and facilitating automation.
Among these are the new Streaming APIs, which provide real-time data streams for gateways, alerts, unified clients, and AOS-CX switches. This telemetry enables integrations to be built and Central data to be used for analytics, automation, and greater operational visibility.
HPE has also added packet capture for supported AOS-CX switches directly from Aruba Central, allowing captures to be performed on interfaces without the need to physically access the device. This facilitates packet-level troubleshooting and reduces the time required to analyze certain incidents.
Towards a more autonomous network
These capabilities show the direction Aruba Central is taking: combining telemetry, analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation to simplify network operations.
With Marvis Actions, HPE takes another step toward the concept of a Self-Driving Network, bringing AI capabilities to Central that can play a more active role in problem resolution.
For IT teams, the goal is clear: less time spent manually identifying and resolving repetitive issues, and more capacity to focus on tasks that require specialized intervention.
